Well there we have it. The Dollar Index did not fly on up this week to complete the measured move that was looking likely at the end of last week. All this week it's been looking sickly and we now have the reason why. Surprise, surprise, the US economy is just not responding to all the stimulus measures the Fed has thrown at it.  Ben Bernake admitted as much on Friday and, because it hasn't worked yet, there's likely more to come! Can it possibly be good for the Dollar?

Now, the Dixie jumped one way then the other Friday afternoon, so Sunday night and Monday should give us a clearer picture but the fundamentals just don't seem to support a big upside move, quite the opposite.

In the latest members video, online now here, takes alook at the major currencies, and alsoa glance commodities and the main stock index. Plus, the 'magic' indicator that works so well trading ranges.

Next Thursday 2nd September (I know, it's almost Autumn!) join us
for a no cost Forex webinar with Phil Newton.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned the Darvas Box trading process and
it sparked off lots of interest. The Nicholas Darvas book & course,
How I made a Million Dollars.... written well over thirty years ago,
described more of a money management process than just a buy/sell
setup technique.

The beauty of it, is its simplicity. Money Management, and knowing
when not to trade, with the discipline to follow a set of rules, is
where the Holy Grail of trading is found. But it usually takes some
hard knock backs before beginners catch on.

This is where Phil comes in. Phil trades the Forex market every day
using a set of rules that he has developed. Amongst these, he is
very clear when to enter and exit a trade and his technique
has similarities to the Darvas approach. However, his key rule
is knowing when NOT to trade.

Forex is an exiting market place with more twists and turns than
the proverbial cork screw and it's just this that can cause the
classic sin of over trading. If it's excitement that we crave, then
it's probably a good idea to satisfy that need some place other
than the markets.

Keeping a cool head can take some doing but it's a skill that Phil
has ingrained as you will learn during his webinar. But this is
just a part of his webinar content, so sign up now as we have a limit
of 97 places. Click this link now

The latest Traders class video is now on-line here and includes the main Forex pairs and intra-day on Cable. This weekend we will have the results of the Australian elections, it's said to be a neck and neck race as I write, by tomorrow we will know if they have chosen conservative or socialist. With an economy that's been booming, high housing cost, record balance of payments and so on, how much better can it get. Could we see a new government start to get it wrong?

This week has given us some good news on the UK economy with output improving and, together with the austerity measures, we could start to see the longer term GBPAUD rate breaking away from its sloping consolidation. Right now it's still a range play but that won't last for ever.
